How to train your heart muscles to become more resilient and step away from the fear of human relations
We often assume that we will be abandoned by someone, fired from a company, or not accepted by others. Feelings of inadequacy drive us to constantly pursue things, and we may even push ourselves to desperation in order to achieve a better social status. The author describes this as the “not-good-enough fear”. As a performance psychologist with a career of nearly 20 years, author Dr. Pippa Grange has worked with athletes in the Australian Football League, the Australian Swim Team, the English Football Association, and many other athletes and musicians, examining their triumphs and studying the emotions that follow success. In this book, she teaches you how to achieve true victory without being held back by the fears that control your life.
Dr. Pippa Grange is a Doctor of Applied Psychology, culture coach, and lecturer. She attained her Doctorate of Applied Psychology in Victoria University, Australia, with a thesis on the relationship between stress and achievement. She has cooperated with many elite sports teams, enterprises, and musicians for the last 20 years, including the Australian Football League, the New Zealand Rugby League, and the Australian Swim Team. She contributed greatly to the England's National Football Team’s success in the 2018 World Cup, where she was credited with being the one who helped to build the capacity for psychological recovery among the players. The experience inspired her to write about the joy of conquering fear and achieving deep fulfillment through one’s authentic self. She has created positive motivation within athletes, coaches, and musicians to pursue true success and to help them remember the great values that humans should have. Her achievements were published through many media channels, including <Quartz>, <Fox Sports>, <The Guardian>, and <Daily Mail>. At present, Pippa Grange is focusing on “the broadening definition of success and winning in sport, especially for woman and girls’”.
